Call for Papers and Participation for
Wells College’s
11th Annual Activism Symposium
We Are The _____%.
The Wells College Activism Symposium Committee welcomes the submission of presentations from activists around the area and country. The year 2011 was filled with protests, so much so that Time Magazine named the protestor as the person of the year. From the Arab Spring to Occupy Wall Street, people are standing up for what they believe is right and are protesting to make our world a better place. Our theme this year is a challenge to members of our local, regional and global community to identify what makes you an activist. If you could occupy something to change it, what would it be? We encourage presenters to embrace artistic/ scientific/ playful/ experimental/ researched/ conjectural/ personal/ cultural work that allows you to be true to yourself.
The Symposium will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012.
Please express your intent to submit a proposal ASAP.
Proposals, ideas for speakers, and intents to submit a proposal
should go to symposium2012@wells.edu
Contact us at symposium2012@wells.edu and we will email you a Call For Papers.
Don’t have a topic to present? We would love to have you join us to see faculty, staff, students, and community members from far and wide present on March 9th!
