On Sunday we paused to mark the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and remember and honor the sacrifices and lives lost on that day and in the military actions that continue. I am reminded of the power of education over ignorance and fear. Together we work for a more just and peaceful world.

Sue Getzendanner ’65 was the only person I knew who died in the those attacks. She was kind, lovely, and highly spiritual person, just the sort of person who makes an indelibly positive impression on a newly-arrived freshman.
